Les Miserables & Korean Fried Chicken in New York City

Bambs and I watched les Miserables in New York City when our very own Lea Salonga played the role of Eponine.

No doubt Lea is world class. Her voice is amazingly clear and crisp - Sheer Perfection! We waited for her outside the theatre after her performance. Took this photo of Bambs and Lea. Golden moment. :)

After the show we were walking along Times Square and here I am snapping my camera away. Taking shots of anything I see.

Here's another shot.

Then, we saw a men's underwear billboard similar to this:

And there we were standing on the side street looking so frustrated with our figures, contemplating and figuring out how can we achieve a body such as that. After ten minutes, we realized it was close to impossible. We hollered a cab, got inside, went to a Korean Restaurant and ordered a LARGE plate of fried chicken and binged!

This became one of my favorite fried chickens in NYC! Similarly, I tried making one. Deep fried the chicken. And for the sauce, it's soy sauce and honey with chili flakes. Tossed the fried chicken in the sauce. Then sprinkled with sesame seeds. Try it! Easy and Oh soooo good!

That's how we overcome frustration. And you?

What HappenED in Vegas StayED in Vegas!!!

Bambs encouraged Pati and I to join him in Vegas last October 2007.

Upon arrival at the airport, Vegas welcomed us with open arms and open legs!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights: (courtesy of bambs, thank you very much!)
To watch her: (again, courtesy of Bambs, thank you very very much! :))

at this hotel:

and ended up watching her: (Lani Misaluchia) I know... I know.... don't say it... hmm.....

at this hotel:

Bambs purchased our tickets for Celine's concert via ticketmaster. Unfortunately, Lola Celine cancelled it due to some illness. The sad part was Bambs did not get a full refund of the tickets. There was some penalty fee charged even though it was beyond our control that Celine cancelled it. Blah!
Nonetheless, Lani was fantastic.... I even met Mayor (Bacolod City) Bing and his wife at the concert. And Oh! before we watched Lani's concert we had lunch at Jollibee in Vegas! Ha! You will never miss the PH in the US!

We ordered a lot! I think we had two pieces chicken joy each, spaghetti, burger, and of course the jolly fries!

REWIND... REWIND...

The three of us were walking along the strip and passed by this hotel:

We went inside and saw this glass sculpture by reknowned American glass blower/artist Dale Chihuly. Very impressive when seen up close. This is sheer luxury!

One of the best burger experience I had in the whole wide world was in Vegas!
At this fastfood!

To have this baby!

I wonder when will it come to MNL? Hmm....

The three little pigs very much contented with their burgers! Obvious?

We also went to the outlet stores to shop. We happen to pass by Nike and got ourselves these rubber shoes! Gotta love these shoes! It cost $14 at an exchange rate of Php41 at that time! Imagine how affordable it is...LOVE IT!

We also attended the WHITE PARTY. The entrance fee was at $120USD, i think. There were a lot of people who are as Good As You! :)
