Lunch Break

Jane and I were contemplating where to have lunch last friday. Jane suggested to grab burgers at a gasoline station near our office. We asked Cathy if she wanted to join us. During our conversation, Cathy suggested if we wanted to have kansi (beef shank in sour soup, pinoy version of beef stew minus the tomato sauce). The weather was cooperating - couldy and raining. The three of us got excited to have a hot bowl of kansi. So we were off to LT Butcher.

When we got there, Kansi was not available. We opted to have Pata (Pork Hock Soup). One of the best soups I've ever had. It only cost Php40!!!

Thier Lumpia Frito which cost Php3.00 a piece! We had a dozen of this. hehehe!

And of course, the BEST Lechon kawali. Lechon Kawali is pork belly usually pressure-cooked and deep fried. For only Php30.00 per order you can never go wrong! Good thing I snapped a shot before finishing the entire plate.

Just today, I invited my family to try this restaurant. I was boasting how delicious the kansi, lumpia and lechon kawali were. Unfortunately, we got there past 1:00pm and the only dishes left to order were Linaga (it's similar to Kansi minus the bone marrow) and karne frita.

Linagang Baka: Php40.00 per order

Karne Frita: I forgot to ask how much this cost. I'm 100% sure though it's not more than Php50.00.

Here I am with the owner, Lorna Torreno

Kimmy Dora

Family bonding time! Jan, Risa, Audie and I drove to SM, after the very emotional sharing of our Mother at Balay Kalinungan, to unwind. We watched Kimmy Dora! It was soooo hilarious. Eugene Domingo is THE BEST!!! You're jaws will get numb from laughing out loud. We highly recommend it.

Before leaving, we bumped into Edward Cullen and had our Photo Op:
